Rufus "Homicide Henry" Defibaugh turned professional boxer in February 2010 against Silver medal winner J'Leon Love. Since that time he has not stepped into the pro glove ring. He is the grandson of a former Marine Corps middleweight champion Billie Defibaugh, who once fought a five round boxing exhibition with the former light heavyweight champion Billy Conn. Rufus originally was supposed to be in the famed T.P.S. boxing series based in Paris, Arkansas, but potential fights with youtube bad boy Charlie Zelenoff and others never materialised. As a teenager in his native Sidney, Ohio Defibaugh boxed 'smokers' with neighborhood toughs and fought arranged bare knuckle bouts on occasion. With the rise of the London Prize Ring rules following Bobby Gunn's third round kayo win of Rich Stewart, Defibaugh has shown his support on various radio syndicates such as www.atgradio.com and plans to use the professional gloved ring, as well as exhibition gloved matches, to prepare for a bare knuckle career.
